38 years after forming, The Blues Band returned to Newcastle-under-Lyme’s New Vic theatre on Thursday evening wowing a near full house.
The famous five of Paul Jones, Dave Kelly, Gary Fletcher, Tom McGuinness and Rob Townsend played a mixture of the bands records and their own tracks in a light-hearted enjoyable watch.
The audience enjoyed hearing some of the older hits integrated with the bands new to be released material, set to be at the end of this month.
Guitarist McGuinness joked about their previous trips to the Potteries including getting lost at Trentham Gardens which humoured many of the fans, who clearly have followed the band for a while.
What isn’t in question is the Blues Band will certainly be well received should they decide to return for yet another tour.
A brilliant evening of catchy blues rock.
