Stoke City left Middlesbrough empty handed after a fightback from the home side. Sam Clucas fired the Potters into the lead early in the second period before the team switched off again letting Ashley Fletcher level the scores. Lewis Wing was awarded too much time and space on the edge of the area and he made no mistake in putting Boro in the lead. Cousins lost the ball in the Boro half and Wing was allowed to go unchallenged!
The high spot of the game was when Clucas was there to send the visiting supporters wild following up after the keepers save from McClean
