Knot FM are delighted to be able to bring you the news that we have partnered with Cre8 radio to go FM for a month!
Presenters will be given the opportunity to broadcast over the airwaves to the residents of Stoke-on-Trent during May and June when Cre8, run by Staffordshire University, will be broadcasting on an RSL.
Station director Gareth Ekin said
We are absolutely over the moon for both the station and the presenters who have worked so hard to get to this point. We have a really dedicated and professional community of presenters who make programming of the highest standard and they will be able to showcase this to the residents of the area
Fellow station director Angela Smith said
We’ve all worked hard to get to this point and we feel the partnership between Staffordshire University will go well beyond the month we are broadcasting on FM. It’s such a natural relationship as we work with both the YMCA where we broadcast from and also have a sister station Knot FM 6 at the 6th Form College
This also further demonstrates the commitment that Knot FM make to North Staffordshire YMCA with resident Arron Cooper taking to FM after starting with the station only 12 months ago. It’s an opportunity he clearly relishes as he remarked
It’s amazing to think that I will be broadcasting on FM. It’s a career I have been looking at for a while, but it’s through Knot FM that I have been given this chance not only to broadcast on the internet, but now FM. I’m just really grateful for all the help Knot FM have given me. It’s like one big family
Cre8 and Knot FM can be heard on 87.7FM from 20th May to 15th June 2013
