Mud is thicker than water…
Led by their Personal Trainer, Marian Toth, a team of fitness enthusiasts from Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire will be taking on one of the most gruelling and toughest events on the planet, TOUGH MUDDER, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Collectively known as Team Lift2befit, the group consists of Marian Toth, Zuzana Tothova, David Bradbury, Christopher Cobden, Simon Richards, Peter Rushton, Emma Jay, Abbi Broad, Mike Cerven and Donna Birks.
Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle course challenges designed to test all-round strength, stamina, mental grit and cameraderie. With the most innovative obstacles, and over 1 million participants globally to date, Tough Mudder is the premier obstacle course series in the world.
On 13 July 2014, Team Lift2befit will be heading to Boughton House in Northamptonshire to take part in Tough Mudder’s main Midlands event. Home to thousands of acres of the UK’s thickest woodlands, Boughton House’s log obstacles are some of the world’s most brutal. This course features tonnes of natural water and miles of muddy farmland.
With obstacles including Electro Shock Therapy, Arctic Enema, underwater tunnels, the mud mile, trench warfare, 9 foot high wooden walls, 5 meter high hay stacks, high ropes, monkey bars, cage crawls, fire jumping, log hurdles and ultimate leaps of faith, Tough Mudder will push Team Lift2befit to their limits and beyond!
Marian Toth, Personal Trainer and owner of Lift2befit, said
“As a PT, my role is not only about providing professional guidance and advice, but also making sure that my clients stay motivated. I love helping people to achieve new goals and the best reward for me is seeing them reach new heights of success.
As Team Lift2befit, we’ve already completed various team events – assault courses, mud runs and half marathons – but now we’re ready to take on the biggest challenge of all, Tough Mudder, and in the process help raise essential funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity very close to my heart.”
