On Friday 10th May, don’t miss one of the most exciting music events. Stoke of Genius presents some of the finest rising stars at the BAD EDIT venue in Burslem. Local artists will be treating fans to a catalogue of some of their critically acclaimed tracks.
Hitting the stage will be Sherry Counsellors, who have been performing together since 2010. The group have since supported chart toppers The Hoosiers and headlined numerous gigs across Stoke-on-Trent.
“It still baffles me as to why they haven’t been snapped up by a label…these boys could be massive,” says The Sentinel.
“It’s been a few months since we’ve played locally and this is at a new venue so it will be nice doing another local gig and seeing some local faces down there,”
says Matt Lewis of Sherry Counsellors.
Sherry Counsellors are Keith Mellor (Vocals), Chris Dunleavy (Guitar/Vocals), Matt Lewis (Guitar), Chris Reynolds (Bass/ Trumpet) and Mark Gallacher (Drums/Vocals).
Hot off the heels from supporting MOBO nominated Mike Hough, Daniel John Marsden will be providing his unique musical blend of acoustic and electronic influence. Catch this star in the making along with a host of other top acts at this unmissable event.
Jesse’s Divide will play their biggest show at Stoke of Genus. Formed in 2012, the Stoke based three-piece alternative rock band are well-known for their explosive progressive rock sound. With over thirty years’ experience – the distinguished group will be showcasing their conspicuous laser lights coupled with their massive sound system.
Jesse’s Divide are Si (Vocals/Guitars), Nick (Bass/Keys/Acoustic) and Rob (Percussion).
Also joining the bill is Helena Raby who is set to dazzle and delight with her sassy acoustic sound. Already a favourite on the Staffordshire music scene, Helena will be treating audiences to a varied set of intimate acoustic songs and bold electronic numbers, taken from her early repertoire as well as her debut EP.
