Stoke were forced to settle for a point against Championship strugglers Rotherham United after surrendering a two goal lead.
Goals from Sam Vokes and Sam Clucas had the Potters ahead and in control at the break, before they capitulated during a disappointing second half.
Man of the match Jack Butland had already been forced into a great save before Will Vaulks halved the deficit with a glancing header just before the hour mark.
Fifteen minutes later the visitors were back on level terms. This time it was Matt Crooks , having only been introduced into the action a moment or two beforehand. The midfield man appearing to have been a couple of yards offside when he slid home at the back post.
Butland made some excellent saves to keep the score at 2-2 It could have been an even better for the Millers had they been able to capitalise on their late dominance, but they couldn’t find a way past Butland, who continued to produce some fine saves.
Stoke fans left the players and manager in no doubt as to the disappointment they felt as the final whistle sounded.
In truth it was a very disappointing day
